During the late '70s and early 1980s, Jamaican-in-London Tapper Zukie was responsible for a number of killer dub disco cuts, most of which have been irritatingly hard to find ever since. It's fair to say that "Visions Of Love", now re-released on his own Stars imprint (or repressed sneakily to make it look official) is one of those must-have cuts. Blessed with the heavy pulse of dub, the synth-laden shimmer of electrofunk and the open-minded dancefloor attitude of post-punk disco, it should be an essential purchase. As with the original release, it comes backed with the thrillingly Balearic "Love Dream", an instrumental dub that makes more of the original's wonderful synths and tactile bassline.
