A1. Wake Up People
B1. Peace Of The Rock
Record Shack shuffle away from their usual Northern Soul fare for this latest reissue, opting instead for some raw, and raucous jazz-funk from short lived outfit Heem The Music Monsters. Originally released on Blood Leaf in those high times of 1976, this slamming double A-side of dancefloor heat, takes wild jazz tonalities, spiritual vocals of love and peace and an absolutely kickin' rhythm section and serves it in two different flavours. The A-side is the kind of high-octane shit you'd hear Theo or MCDE playing merry hell on the EQ with, while the cooler, smoother, no less funky flipside is a deep and hypnotic groove feast for deeper in the set. Must have shizzle for anyone with a little soul in their whole.
