A: On Point
B: Golyak
On point... Not just an apt name for the latest instalment of his super-collectable 7" series, but the perfect way to describe Eddie C's abilities as a disco and funk merchant. Released just weeks after his killer album Country City Country was repressed (by popular demand), both of these original cuts shimmer with funk decadence; "On Point" is a stripped back slap bass and string groove with heaps of space that allows the big squishy synth licks to shine through on the fills. "Golyak", meanwhile, stumbles and lulls with a rustic south European folk soul. Beautiful.
