Frank Timm aka the legendary Berlin disco and hard house producer that is Soundstream has left us with a sixth installment in the rarely released SOUNDSTREAM edit series. This dude does not mess around when it comes to the glitchy goodness of micro sampled funk tunes and the pillowy cushions of deep 808 kicks. As a frequent DJ at the famous Panaorama Bar, Mr. Timm has also been known for past projects such as Smith’n'Hack with his amigo Errorsmith. Julie’s Theme is yet another release from the Hard Wax affiliated label. Here Frank gives us rolling loops and snappy claps that drive solid 4×4 goodness into near break beat territory until ushering in again a relaxed and delayed vibe. On the flip is Inferno which digs into 1970s glamour. Bull horn wails and the slinking wah-wah of a rhythm guitar. Warm and friendly bongos tap along to a thick and meaty bass line until the jam really lifts off with a full fledged string orchestration.
