Casey Tucker is somehow a rather unhealed artist despite being an absolute don. He has been making house and techno since the 90s and after a long time away came back in 2013 with hot tunes on the likes of For Those That Knoe and Certain Music. Under his Variable Frequency Technician alias, he crafted the seminal 'Cross Section' which not gets reissued with some sick new mixes. The opener is blistering, soulful deep tech with classic Motor City fizz, and the unreleased 2021 version layers in some more crunchy drum work and beefs up the synths. Detroit great Fit Siegel then adds his own meditative, acid-tinged spin and Marc Pinol brings that acid to the fore on a more warped and peak time version.
