The new label on the block DRPN GEMS is focused on crowd rockin’ block party joints. Release number one has that in spades. The A side has label boss Wally Puma stepping up with a hybrid blend / remake of two old school anthems that fit together like OJ’s glove - mad tight. The other side has a couple of useful Jim Sharp DJ tools / Breaks meaning that doubles are a must. If there were any actual parties the play records at this year, this would be a definite go-to 45.
