You gotta hand it to Houseum, going from a cult Youtube channel to a fully fledged label in a mere few years. Much like their social media channel, the Parisian label curates the imprint in the same fashion, serving up the very best in deep and minimal house. Their latest comes from label staples Ricky Razu and Marc Brauner. Razu is up first with the emotive 'Alive' calling to mind The Windy City's second wave with its shiny FM tones and booming rhythms, which the Belgian follows up with the swing-fuelled and hypnotic bliss of 'Afloat'. Berlin native Brauner takes over on the flip, with the deep boompty business of 'Dinner 4 2' which reaches near acid moments, followed by the evocative electro breaks of 'Day Dream'.
