Having collaborated in the production duties with brother Simon for Faze Action, Robin Lee has been quietly working away behind the scenes for some notable artists, labels and various musical projects including the likes of Papa Records, Mukatsuku, Peven Everett, Defected Records, Candi Staton, Barbara Tucker, Shovell and Julie McKnight, as well as having been a founding member of Japanese dance music orchestra, AHB.
Robin has found himself behind the mixing desk for various sessions including those for Dave Lee's Z Records that include Kadija Kamara, Shirley Jones and Jean Carne.
On 'Cello he has appeared on several works for Paul Murphy's excellent Claremont 56 label and on releases by Phil Mison and his Cantoma pro-ject.
This newest project finds Robin playing one half of the Dos Palos project, with the other half being taken up by vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Ed Begley.
Having written and recorded the first sin-gle Robin was looking for a vocalist to work with and having exhausted all avenue's, and passing by sometime Faze Action drummer, Adrian Meehan's Soho based studio, Robin heard Ed's voice and was sold immediately.
Currently, working on new material with a view to performing as a live band, Dos Palos take the elements of Psychedelic Soul, Folk, Funk and mix it in the golden urn of Balearica to build a sound that is firmly rooted but reaches for a bright future.
