Super hot reissue of the indemand original Choice Records release of Janet Rushmore’s ‘Joy’. First released back in ’94, this is a true masterpiece of deep NYC garage house and became an underground classic at the time. It features a great club mix from New Jersey’s Smack Productions but it’s the Kerri Chandler’s mixes here that really blow the roof off. The ‘Choice Mix’ finds Kerri at the top of his game providing some of the coolest, hippest, deepest most soulful & atmospheric synth chords every used in a house record topped with a classy vocal from Ms Rushmore. While his ‘Kaoz Goes Insane Mix’ takes things into heavier underground territory with a stabbed vocal sample atop of some phat beats, deep deep chords and speaker rattling sub bass. Still sounding fresh today, this is a must have for fans of the deep 90s NYC sound.
